An Enemy Can Light Your Fire to Reach Your Goals!

Today is Day 3 of the #SummerRest Challenge by Darren Hardy!

Halfway through the 6 chapters of The Compound Effect in 6 days, we are reading Chapter 3 today which is titled Habits.

I am still trying to work out some issues with posting on with my new @my1440 Hive account so the video is live streamed on my @lisamgentile1961 account. And then I uploaded the recording to 3Speak.

I have a support request on the Discord Server. They are looking into it. So I took another way around the issue to get my post up today. Part of the adventure. No Excuses!

It seems that I do some of my best work when I am fighting against something or someone or trying to prove something. Whatever works, right?!

Some of the other things Darren talks about in Chapter 3 are the 5 Strategies for eliminating bad habits.

They are:

  1. Identify Your Triggers
  2. Clean House
  3. Swap It
  4. Ease In
  5. Or Jump In

Six Techniques for Installing Good Habits:

  1. Set Yourself Up for Success
  2. Think Addition Not Subtraction
  3. Go for a PDA: Public Display of Accountability
  4. Find a Success Buddy
  5. Competition & Camaraderie
  6. Celebrate

And finally we have to be patient with ourselves because some of our habits have been with us for a very long time.

They aren’t going to go away overnight.
